5 levels of gestalt work

Level 1 “Cliche” is the level where a person renounces his true needs and desires, hides some part of his personality. And he tries to meet the expectations of others, truly believing that the mask that he presents to others is himself.

2nd Level of “Roles” — at this level there is an awareness that a person plays the role that they are used to seeing in him and does what is expected of him. But the idea that others will see the real him plunges him into anxious thoughts. He is afraid of the consequences that might happen if he is himself.

Level 3 of “Deadlock” (or crisis) is a painful level, accompanied by even greater fear, shame, and anxiety. Feelings that you can’t do the same as before, because it’s not you, and at the same time, an unwillingness or unwillingness to use your own resources to move on. Some at this level choose the familiar and return to previous levels.

Level 4 “Explosion directed inward” (or implosion) — awareness of how a person has limited himself, a meeting with himself (with what was suppressed, denied and condemned, among other things). Feelings and emotions come to light, but so far they are only inside a person. After all, he is just beginning to listen to the signals of his body. This process can be skillfully accompanied by a specialist.
